Evening Post

Good Evening!

It just started to snow ... again!

Can I tell you how much I like the atmosphere the Foveon-sensor inside my DP1 generates? I know, this camera can be a b***h, especially when red colours and sunlight are in front of the lense.
But Dec. 4.50pm - perfect conditions for a still life, downtown Vienna:

Photos like this resemble rather a paiting than a photo

Temperatures this week will be less than 0°C, the perfect time for some anti-mite-cure for the stuffed animals. The animals will leave the appartment for one night and spend it night in our car, alltogether, no adults allowed. The minus-degrees will kill all mites.

In case you have not heard or read about this before, I close with a tip: beating the dust out of the carpet on a bed of freshly set clean snow is much more effective than vacuum cleaning! You will earn fresh colours and fresh air! Since the snow is frozen, the carpet wont get wet.

Have a nice day/morning/evening!
Paula

PS: 2010 - this year already delivered a lot of surprises. The lastest surprise to my surprise is that I started caring for Jamie Oliver's recipes. ... 10 years late. *ggg*

  2. Hi Lisa! Maybe you want to check in some airfreight and send the carpets to your daughter? I am not sure if there is a lot of snow around your house any time of the year? Correct me if I am wrong! PS: it feels very good, knowing you are following this blog. Thank you!

We expect snow tomorrow so this just might work. Thanks also for your lovely comment today. You have a good eye, I thought it might be him too

  4. Beautiful photo, Ms Paula. Be careful out there in the gorgeous carpet-cleaner snow.

  5. Jeanne, what a nice surprise! Thank you for following, means a lot! I forgot to add: the carpet should be turned upside down, otherwise the dust would not be transferred into the snow beneath.

Vix, Friend A - I met her yesterday at a company Christmas party - loves to go everywhere by bike the whole year round, too. She slipped on her bike two times. But when she falls, she goes down like a karate-queen, no insuries. My score so far: zero!

  6. Hallo Paula! :)
